What is It? Am I at Risk?

One condition that I think teens have a slighter higher risk of is preeclampsia. It usually develops after the twenty week mark or near the end of the third trimester.

Why teens have a higher risk of getting it, is up for debate. I believe it has something to do with sodium and poor eating habits while pregnant. As most teens eat pizza as a main staple in their diet. Fried food is another one, who doesn’t love French fries?

Make sure that you see your doctor regularly. They will monitor your blood pressure and urine.  If left untreated it can be life threatening. It almost was for me. Please take this seriously, your life and the life of your child could be at risk.

I’ve listed a link I think you should check out if you have any questions on symptoms and what to look for. Click here for more information.
